VOLUNTEER'S DIARY
Before we could realize, we were in our second year of our pursuit to become clinical psychologist. As our prestigious “school of psychology” in http://www.amity.edu/Amity university, Noida wants us to intern every semester, to gain experience and make us better suited for the professional world.
We asked around and came across this Non – profit organization by the name of ‘Nidhi foundation child’s right organization’. We looked up their website https://nidhifoundationindia.org/. To our surprise, this non- profit organization was run by people who were accomplished and well into their respective fields and yet decided to leave it all behind to be a part of this greater cause. They aimed at improving the health and education as segregated concepts with literacy capacity gap in children by dealing with them jointly, through their flagship program ‘mission nutrition’. We found their goal very in-line with ours, so we decided to volunteer.
During our 60 hours of volunteering we observed that few of the students were school dropouts due to their family conditions, some were promoted to higher classes but lacked the basic understanding that is needed for their age group, however, most of them were very keen and enthusiastic about studying and getting good grades in school.
Seeing the fire in their eyes and their zeal to learn new things every day, it filled us with motivation and inspired us to do our best. The best part was getting to know them and becoming a small part of their life.
We look forward to working with Nidhi foundation again as our experience there was amazing.

Greetings,
I Arnav Narula, a student from Kothari international school was given a task of internship for a week. I with my fellow matesManvi Sharma and ShlokTondon went to an NGO which is an initiative by Nidhi Foundation. Firstly I thank my school for giving me an opportunity to work and also to nidhi foundations for allowing us to work in there department.
Our centre based in Kalyanpuri, Delhi had lots of children who were studying there. We found out that many of the children there did not have any access to school education which is very necessary for a proper development of a child. However there were children who were also going to school. Proper education and help was given to all the children studying in the NGO. The professional faculty were taking great care of everyone. We were properly guided by Ms.Shilpa and Ms.Vandana. We truly enjoyed being a part of the NGO. All of us had a totally different experience. Working in the department helped us to know the present status of the education facilities in our country and how people are helping those children without such access. We loved working with the teachers as well as the students and hope to be a part of this initiative afterwards as well. Thank you!

Greetings,
It is during my pursuing of MSW (Maters in Social work) course where I was supposed to do an Internship as part of the curriculum in a place other than my current living. I chosed to work with an organization placed in Noida with its name called Nidhi Foundation. The organization basically works for the children and women belonging to the vulnerable section of the society with its Centre situated in Kalyanpuri, Delhi. Nidhi Foundation works for the motive of Eradicating Hunger and Malnutrition among the unsophisticated children being considered as the future of the country. While my visit to its Centre, I learnt how these children manage to keep a smile despite of being so benighted and deprived from the basic requirements of life. During the ample time that I spent with these children, it came to my notice, how motivated they are to learn and get educated to avoid the circumstances they have been facing till date. I feel humble working with the organization as it provided me with a distinct scope of knowing the pregnable section of the society. As being a girl, women empowerment is what I believe and follow to its utmost for as to achieve my ambition and during my internship, I got to know the review of what it feels to be independent and empowered after interacting with the women of skill development course provided by Nidhi Foundation. The organization also provided me with the opportunity to organize various campaigns such as Oral Health Camp, Tobacco Cessation Camp and conducting enthusiastic activities with the children at the its Centre. With this I also learnt the job of documentation where I was asked to write the content of the organization’s Annual Report and Case Study related to one child of the Centre. It was a fortunate enough working with the team of Nidhi Foundation and experiencing the real fun moment while giggling with the kids who are the real heroes. This one month of internship taught me to be enthusiast, buoyant and contended with life for which the credit will go to these wonderful brave kids. There is no end of words after being working with Nidhi Foundation as I got to experience a lot of new things that I was not even aware of. Last but not the least, I would like to conclude by wishing Nidhi Foundation to be more prosperous and work more for such great issues with a hope to work with the organization again in the near future and becoming a member of the Foundation’s family.

Greetings,
I was going through various online articles about eradicating hunger and malnutrition among the underprivileged section of the society in Delhi and I came across Nidhi foundation website. I voraciously searched the whole website and was coax to join this prestigious organization. So I enrolled myself into the volunteer section. The organization focus on woman and children belonging to the vulnerable section of the society. The Kalyanpuri centre in Mayur Vihar works on eradicating hunger and malnutrition among the children living in abhorrent condition and simultaneously providing them educational learning. The Centre also focus on woman empowerment by bestowing skills to young girls and women, so that they empower themselves financially and doesn’t have to strive for their basic life choices. While volunteering I learnt how these kids whimsical around irrespective of the vulnerability and hardship they have to face on the daily basis. Still everyday they greet us in chorus showing ample amount of share of their happiness. The extolling thing I noticed after spending time on the Centre was their desire to learn. These kids are so eager to learn , they want to eradicate their hardship by getting educated. They have desire and metal to flare. I feel great joy while sitting among these kids, helping them learning tables, correcting their sentence formation and teaching them basic science. Being with them has introduced me to new frames of life, a conscious satisfaction. I feel lucky to become a part of the Centre. Being a part of this organization I’ve been a part of some social awareness campaigns like Oral Health Camp, Tobacco Cessation Camp and various events in our Centre. With this I’ve been given an opportunity to know an amazing child and write a case study on her. It was such an overwhelming experience. Everyday at the Centre we create new memories, new learning and lots of zany experience. I’m so happy to contribute a little amount in this beautiful venture, carried out by the organization of such eminence. On a final note, I would like to present my gratitude and lot of warm wishes to the founder and every person in that organization working hard for such a noble cause. I wish Nidhi Foundation to flourish and prosper in every prospect of their journey and achieve what they have embarked to.

Greetings,
Well… I always wanted to make a difference in the society, but every time one the question arises HOW?
It was my friend who told me about the Nidhi foundation and I decided to enrol myself as a volunteer. The Foundation focuses not only just improving the education and health, but also works to uplift the unprivileged of our society by its social programs. The foundation provides the nutrition and education to the children and the required skills that certainly help them to self-evaluate in future. In addition to that, different programs for women help them to face the world with pride. For example, a skill development program in which women learns Mehendi making and tailoring. These skills definitely help them in seeking employment. Being a volunteer, I participated in teaching students more environment-friendly ways to use the waste and building their confidence. I was amazed by the enthusiasm shown, not only by kids but also by the adults and volunteers.
The atmosphere there is very pleasant, peaceful, with thoughtful and kind-hearted volunteers and students. it was an amazing experience working with unprivileged. It really satisfies the soul when you see the smile on their faces, and that is what I found working in this NGO. Moreover, it also makes me smile when I see, what I have contributed in making a difference in the society.
